Crushed stone is one of the most important aggregates in the construction industry, and at the same time one of the most difficult to produce. The cubic shape of the final grain size, a very narrow grain size distribution within the target fraction, static requirements, and low fines content are just a few of the challenges.
More Coarse Grain
Convinced that the gentle crushing action of a roller crusher could deliver perfect results for this purpose, the SGC (Sand and Grit Crusher) was developed.
Conventional methods for producing crushed stone shatter the feed material through impact, consuming a great deal of energy and producing unwanted sand and fine particles, which severely compromises the cost-effectiveness of these processes.
The two-roll crusher from Crush + Size Technology, on the other hand, crushes the feed material in a gentle manner.
Between the slowly rotating rollers of the double-roll crusher, feed material consisting of natural rock or recycled material is gently crushed into high-quality, cubically shaped aggregates.
What distinguishes this technology from conventional crushers such as cone, impact, and VSI crushers is the low proportion of undesirable fine fractions (< 0.063 mm) and sand (< 2 mm). This correspondingly increases the proportion of the higher-value and desired aggregate fractions (2–5/5–8/8–11/11–16 mm). This results in significantly increased efficiency and, at the same time, a reduced disposal rate of the unwanted fractions, making a valuable contribution to the conservation of natural resources. At the same time, this efficient crushing technology allows energy consumption to be reduced by up to 70% while maintaining the same crushing ratio.”
The SGC Series
The SGC technology is a crusher specifically designed for the production of smaller particle sizes. The SGC is suitable for processing both primary raw materials, such as gravel and crushed stone, and secondary raw materials, such as concrete and construction waste.
